Wonderful family with 19 kids and...

Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar married July 21st, 1984. At that time, they chose to use the birth control pill. They thought, “We don’t want children right now. We can’t afford them. We want children in our timing, when we’re ready.” Four years later they decided to have their first child. Then, Michelle went back on the pill, but she conceived and had a miscarriage. At that point they talked with a Christian medical doctor and read the fine print in the contraceptives package. They found that while taking the pill you can get pregnant and then miscarry. They were grieved! They were Christians! They were pro-life! They realized that their selfish actions had taken the life of their child. (We have posted here about how birth control pill can provoce abortion, CLICK HERE to see).

They prayed and asked God to forgive them, and to teach them to love children like He loves children. They asked God to bless them with as many children as He saw fit in His timing. Right after that Michelle got pregnant with twins! To date they have been blessed with 19 children, (10 boys and 9 girls) Joshua (& wife Anna), Jana & John-David (twins), Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah & Jeremiah (twins), Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie.

Your Brain-Protection Plan

Memory lapses are common at any age. You can’t find your keys, you forget a name, or you walk into a room only to realize you can’t remember why you’re there. For many people, the problem is simply a lack of sleep or temporary stress. But sometimes lapses become more frequent and more worrisome. Alzheimer’s disease affects nearly half of Americans by age 85.

The good news is recent research has shown that that foods can help prevent Alzheimer’s disease and may even reverse memory problems if they are caught early.

When scientists examine the brains of people who have had Alzheimer’s disease, they find that between the brain cells are tiny specks, called beta-amyloid plaques. Under the microscope, they look like little meatballs or balls of yarn. Scientists believe that these plaques gradually destroy brain cells.

Why do they occur? Researchers in the US and Europe have found that the answer may be found in our eating habits. Some foods make Alzheimer’s disease more likely; others help prevent it.

ESTHER: BEAUTIFUL, OBEDIENT, COURAGEOUS

By Eiron

According to the Bible, very few women were accorded a written book in the history of the Jewish nation. Jewish women were seen to be less active but Esther shaped the Jewish future. This responsibility fell to her because Jews have always seen women as more spiritual and open to religious ideas than men, and therefore as closer to God.
The biblical concept of obedience could be defined as humble compliance to God’s commands. The two sisters, Mary, Martha and Lazarus were friends of Jesus Christ. Mary was the one who sat listening to Jesus's feet. The Greek word for obedience involves listening or hearkening.

10 Virtues of the Proverbs 31 Woman

10 Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.
11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax,
And willingly works with her hands.(Proverbs 31.10-13)

Abortions in Silence: As some family planning methods provoke micro-abortions

Book summary Julio Severo: Abortions in Silence, by permission of the author, by Ruth Ferraz

As some family planning drugs can provoke micro-abortions:
We sin against God by ignorance, not knowing the facts involved with sin that we might be committing unknowingly. "An example of the latter type of situation would be a Christian using an intrauterine device and chemicals, knowing that without it, they endanger the life of a baby very early in pregnancy."  (Severo, p. 3)

 When does human life begin?

In the U.S., abortion is legal in the 9 months of pregnancy and can be done until a few hours before delivery! A million babies are aborted each year in the U.S.  [...]

Home: The Woman´s Place

 By Charity Darlene Gardner

The place of the woman is a hotly debated issue. It is also an important issue, because everybody on earth is affected by the women and the part these women play in their lives. Henri F. Amiel said, "...Woman is the salvation or destruction of the family. She carries its destinies in the folds of her mantle."1 The woman not only holds the fate of the family in her hand, but history also rests in her arms. The babies born to mothers all over the world today will one day make history.2 So, we see the need for each of us to decide whether the place of the woman is at home, or if it is of no importance if she decides to leave the home. I think it will be well worth our while to remember, while we look at this concern, that "Where the heart is willing it will find a thousand ways, but where it is unwilling it will find a thousand excuses."3 [...]
